Toni Gueorguiev takes ride to Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge for possession of cocaine and trafficking in fentanyl

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A routine traffic stop in South Brevard County quickly escalated into a major drug arrest on Sunday night when a driver was found with trafficking amounts of fentanyl and cocaine.
According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Alex Campagnone initiated the stop after observing a vehicle traveling 50 miles per hour in a 35-mph zone.
While issuing a citation, the deputy noticed a bag containing a white powdery substance on the ground near where the driver, identified as Toni Gueorguiev, had been standing.
Field testing confirmed the substance to be cocaine, leading to Gueorguiev’s immediate detention.
A further search revealed a cigarette pack in Gueorguiev’s pocket containing another bag with approximately 8.8 grams of fentanyl—an amount the sheriff’s office described as a trafficking quantity capable of producing thousands of lethal doses.
Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey praised Deputy Campagnone’s vigilance, emphasizing that “there is no such thing as a simple traffic stop.”
Gueorguiev was charged with possession of cocaine and trafficking in fentanyl and was transported to the Brevard County Jail.
The Sheriff reiterated the department’s firm stance against narcotics, stating that anyone caught bringing dangerous drugs into the community will face serious consequences.
