Eastern Florida State College Men’s Cross Country Team Places Second at FGC Invitational

Titans compete at FCSAA Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee on October 24

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s cross country team finished second at the FGC Invitational in Lake City on Friday.
The Titans finished behind 11th ranked Pasco-Hernando State College in the 8K race at Alligator Park.
Wyatt Pittman finished in eighth place with a time of 27 minutes, 24 seconds while teammate Jaiden McKee was in ninth place at 27:44.50.
Morgan Vici crossed the line in 14th place with a time of 28:11.70 and Brandon Faris was 15th overall in 28:36.21. Joshua Marrero Torres was 18th in 29:03.20 and Noah McMann was 19th with a time of 29:15.50.
Toby Grissom finished in 30:30.10 while Michael Quint crossed the line in 31:37.30, Gabriel Nix finished in 32:36.71 and Wenn Gilbertson finished in 33:55.90.
“Wyatt has been banged up and we decided to stay out of the spikes and he ran in the Nike Vaporfly shoes, it has a lot more cushioning. Wyatt had a great race today,” Eastern Florida State College men’s cross country coach Doug Butler said.
Florida State University Club’s Ryan Ziskinder won the race with a time of 25:48.90.
“Pasco-Hernando is really stacked and we know we will have to run better to stay with the top teams,” Butler said. “The guys are happy with how they did but know they can do better.”
Eastern Florida State College will compete at the FCSAA Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee on Friday, October 24.
