Eastern Florida State College Women’s Soccer, Volleyball Teams to Play Saturday

The Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team will hit the road for a key Region 8 Conference game on Saturday night.

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team will hit the road for a key Region 8 Conference game on Saturday night.

The 19th-ranked Titans will travel up I-95 to play No. 1 Daytona State College at 7 p.m. It will be the second meeting between the two and final conference game of the regular season for both teams.

Eastern Florida State College is on a four-game win streak and coming off a 2-1 victory against Miami Dade College on Tuesday night. The Titans come into the contest 8-3-1 on the season and 2-3 in the conference.

Daytona State College is unbeaten at 11-0 and is the defending national champion. The Falcons are coming off an 8-0 win over Polk State College on Wednesday.

Daytona State College sophomore Shaneil Buckley leads the Falcons with 14 goals this season, while goalkeeper Julianna Trujillo has an FCSAA-leading .833 save percentage and has allowed three goals this season.

The Titans are led by Avery Bracher, who has scored 13 goals this season for the Titans, while teammate Aoife Farral has scored in four of the past five games and has seven goals this season.

Goalkeeper Lira Adamski leads the FCSAA with 63 saves and has an .808 save percentage this season.

Saturday night’s game at Daytona State College will begin at 7 p.m. and admission is $6. Fans can also watch the game live online for a fee.

The Titans will host Santa Fe College in a key conference matchup at 2 p.m. Saturday. Eastern Florida State College is in the hunt for a spot in the postseason, but needs a win Saturday to solidify that spot.

Santa Fe comes into the matchup 9-13 this season and 1-8 in the conference, while the Titans are looking to snap a five-match losing streak as they head into the match 2-6 in the conference and 11-10 overall.

Freshman Jordyn Cox leads the Titans with 218 kills this season, which is second in the FCSAA. The freshman outside hitter is averaging 3.16 kills per set. Teammate Diara Gaye is hitting .322 this season, which is third in the state.

Santa Fe is led by Madison Howard, who is averaging 3.48 digs per set with 240 digs this season, both among the top five in the FCSAA. Teammates Kailyn Howard and Emily Geaquinto are each averaging 1.8 kills per set.

Saturday’s match will begin at 2 p.m. at Titan Field House. Admission is free to matches at Titan Field House, and fans can watch the match live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
