Eastern Florida State College Women’s Volleyball Team Loses to No. 2 Miami Dade College

The Titans are now 2-4 in the Citrus Conference

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s volleyball team lost to No. 2 Miami Dade College Saturday afternoon at Titan Field House.
The Titans, who are now 2-4 in the Citrus Conference, lost 25-20, 25-15, 25-20 and have lost three in a row.
Miami Dade jumped out to a quick 12-1 lead but the Titans found their footing behind some good serving from Diara Gaye and cut the lead to 12-8. The Titans would get within three a couple of times but Miami Dade won the first set 25-20.
The second set was all Sharks as they dominated taking home the 25-15 win.
The third set saw the Titans take the lead 15-14 on a Gaye kill. But a late run by the Sharks finished the match.
Jordyn Cox finished with nine kills while Madelynne Daugherty had eight and Mikayla Lamb and Emma Cook each finished with seven.
Miami Dade’s Luyeisy Marquez-Moreno had a match-high 11 kills.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Daytona State College for a conference match against the Falcons. The match will begin at 6 p.m. in Daytona.
