Eastern Florida State Women’s Soccer Players Gonzalez, Bracher Named to All-Region 8 Team

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA – A pair of Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer players were named to the All-Region 8 Team on Wednesday.

Forward Avery Bracher and defender Jazira Gonzalez were both honored as the team began the Region 8 Tournament on Thursday afternoon at Miami Dade College.

Bracher finishes the regular season with 13 goals and five assists in 13 games this season with the Titans.

The sophomore from Oakton, Virginia, leads the Titans with 31 points and has a shooting percentage of .302. She has four game-winning goals.

Gonzalez has also started all 13 games for the Titans as a defender and is one of the team’s defensive leaders. The sophomore from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, has a goal and an assist this season and has started 25 of her 27 games in two seasons with the Titans.

The Titans opened the Region 8 Tournament on Thursday against host Miami Dade College at 3 p.m. The winner will advance to the final of the Region 8 Tournament.
