BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team has clinched a spot in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
The Titans are one of the four at-large seeds in the national tournament and will be the No. 6 seed. Eastern Florida State College will be in Pool C with some familiar foes.
“They deserve the opportunity to get in and play, so I am happy they are getting that opportunity. It has been a nervous week,” Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer coach Adam Butler said.
Cowley County Community College is the No. 3 seed and will be in Pool C along with the No. 10 seed Murray State College. The Titans met Cowley County in the national tournament semifinals last season, falling to the Tigers.
Eastern Florida State College will play on Monday and Tuesday in pool play at 2:30 p.m. at Daytona State College. They will open with Murray State College for the third straight season on Monday and then face Cowley County on Tuesday.

“It wouldn’t be a national tournament without playing Murray State first. I don’t know if it is exciting to see Cowley again or not,” Butler said.
Eastern Florida State College is 11-3-1 and has scored 47 goals, which ranks among the top 25 in the country.
Tyler Junior College is the top seed in the tournament, while defending national champion Iowa Western is the No. 2 seed. Host Daytona State College is the No. 4 seed.
The winner of each group will advance to the semifinals on Thursday. The national championship game is set for Saturday, Nov. 22, at 3 p.m.
It is the third straight season that the Titans have played for a national title.
Tickets to games at Daytona State College are $20 per day and $60 for an all-session pass. Parking is free and located on the west and south side of the stadium.
