BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This evening, I was honored to celebrate the graduates of our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Basic Recruit Training Program and also to swear them in as Corrections Deputies with our agency.
Our newly created in-house Corrections Training Academy is facilitated through an amazing partnership with Eastern Florida State College!! Our Training & Recruitment Unit provides all of the instruction for the recruits including Defensive Tactics and Firearms Training as we prepare them to serve as Corrections Deputies!! In addition to the hands on training, a major emphasis is placed on academic standards with this class having a 91.23% academic average.
I could not be more proud of our instructors for the amazing job they did with preparing the class for their journey through the academy. To the graduates of 25-C1 and 25-C3, you worked hard and showed us just how ready you are to join our BCSO family and we could not be more proud of you.
Please join me in congratulating the 10 newest Corrections Deputies of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
