BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A sweet, friendly dog is being cared for after being found near the KFC in Titusville on Tuesday, and officials are hoping to reunite him with his owner as soon as possible, according to SPCA of Brevard Adoption Center

The dog was discovered without a collar and does not have a microchip, making it difficult to immediately identify where he belongs.

He is currently safe and being housed at the facility that responded to the call, but plans are in place to transfer him to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Animal Care Center, located at 5100 W. Eau Gallie Blvd.

Animal care staff say the dog appears well-mannered and is receiving proper care while efforts continue to locate his owner. Anyone who believes this dog may belong to them, or who recognizes him and can help identify his owner, is encouraged to contact the Adoption Center at 321-567-3615 or send a message through Facebook.

Proof of ownership will be required to claim the dog, such as photographs, veterinary records, or other documentation.

Officials urge community members to share the information to help bring this lost pet home safely.
