Titans reached the National Tourney for third straight season

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA – A couple of Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer players were named to the United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division I All-America Team on Friday.

Sophomores Joao Victor Loureiro and Ocira Lazarus were both named to the All-America team after helping the Titans reach the NJCAA Division I National Tournament for the third straight season.

Victor Loureiro, a forward from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, finished his sophomore season with eight goals and four assists in 20 games for Eastern Florida State College. In two seasons with the Titans, Loureiro scored 15 goals and had 15 assists for 45 points in 36 games.

Lazarus, a midfielder from Mbale, Uganda, started all 16 games at holding midfield for the Titans. In two seasons, he played in 35 games with two goals and three assists. Lazarus has signed to attend Marshall University.

The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team won 12 games and went 1-1 in pool play at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
