Cold Weather Shelters Open Across Brevard County on Monday, January 26

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Cold weather shelters will be open across Brevard County tonight, Sunday, Jan. 26, as overnight temperatures are expected to drop to a low around 39, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Melbourne.
Community partners are opening shelters to provide a warm, safe place for individuals and families in need, along with dinner this evening and breakfast Monday morning.
LifePointe Ministries, located at 4220 South Hopkins Ave. in Titusville, will open at 5:30 p.m. and will serve both dinner and breakfast.
The Sharing Center of Central Brevard at 113 Aurora St. in Cocoa will open its doors at 6 p.m., also providing dinner and breakfast.
Matthew’s Hope, located at 825 Forrest Ave. in Cocoa, will open earlier at 4 p.m. and will serve dinner and breakfast.
In Melbourne, Providence Connects at Melbourne First Church of the Nazarene, located at 2745 S. Babcock St., will open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and breakfast available.
Residents are encouraged to share this information with anyone who may need shelter from the cold and to check on vulnerable neighbors as temperatures fall overnight.
