“Today is one of those days that, before you even tee off, you wonder, how is this going to go? You are either going to really hang in there and get it done, or it’s going to beat you up, and we got beat up. And most of the field got beat up, Central Alabama with a 299 is awesome, that is good playing,” Eastern Florida State College men’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.
“I was encouraged by the first round, concerned by the second round, and concerned by today’s round. We are better than that. We have to do a better job, we have played and practiced in crap weather since we have been back. We have to get better.”
Webber International finished third overall in the tournament, led by individual champion Vedant Sirohi, who shot a 73 in the final round and finished the tournament at 3-over. Sirohi won the tournament for the first time after placing in second the past three seasons.
Murray State’s Shashank Koirala tied for second with Keiser University’s Yann Ferrando.
Eastern Florida State College will compete in the Bantams Invitational on Feb. 23-24.
