Authorities have identified the woman killed in a Cocoa traffic crash as 25-year-old Lexis Julia Jordan.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA –  Authorities have identified the woman killed in a Cocoa traffic crash as 25-year-old Lexis Julia Jordan.

The incident happened around 12:55 p.m. Friday on Brevard Avenue and involved two pedestrians and a pickup truck, according to Cocoa Police.

Investigators say the crash involved a 2016 white Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 64-year-old man, who was also taken to the hospital.

Early indications suggest the driver may have suffered an unknown medical episode before losing control of the vehicle.

Cocoa Fire Rescue responded after multiple 911 calls reported the collision. When crews arrived, they found Jordan on the ground while bystanders attempted CPR.

She was later pronounced dead at the hospital as a result of her injuries.

Traffic homicide detectives with the Cocoa Police Department are leading the investigation and are working to determine the exact sequence of events.
