BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — A 54-year-old Rockledge man was killed Sunday afternoon in a crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle at the intersection of U.S. Highway 1 and Chamberlan Terrace, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Florida Highway Patrol Troopers say the crash occurred around 2:16 p.m. when a 2015 Ford F-150, driven by an 83-year-old man from Barefoot Bay, was stopped at a stop sign on Chamberlan Terrace facing east at U.S. 1.
According to FHP investigators, the driver of the pickup attempted to make a left turn onto northbound U.S. 1 and entered the path of an oncoming motorcycle.
The motorcycle, a 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000, was traveling southbound in the inside lane as it approached the intersection.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured, remained at the scene, and was wearing a seatbelt, according to FHP.
