Wakefield Celebrity Golf Classic Big Success

HARMONY, FLORIDA – Harmony Golf Preserve hosted the 20th 2012 Anniversary of the Tim Wakefield Celebrity Golf Classic last January, which raised money for the Space Coast Early Intervention Center (SCEIC).
The event, which included a dinner, sports memorabilia auction, and celebrity golf tournament, was a huge success, raising money and attracting incredible support from sponsors, celebrities and the community for a noble cause.
Over the past 20 years, Major League Baseball pitcher Tim Wakefield has raised more than $5 million from the event benefiting SCEIC and its programs.
“We were extremely honored to be the host facility for the Tim Wakefield Celebrity Golf Classic,” said Todd Van Meer, head golf professional, Harmony Golf Preserve.
“The event could not have gone any better and we are thrilled about the money raised for the Space Coast Early Intervention Center. It is truly a wonderful facility and we were happy to be a part of such an important fundraising event for the school.”
“This was the 20th anniversary and the first time that Harmony has hosted our golf tournament and they did a fantastic job,” said Wakefield.
“The course was in spectacular shape and the staff was awesome, I couldn’t have been more pleased!”
