Gatto, Ryals To Be Inducted Into JA Hall of Fame

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Pam Gatto Gallo and Jack Ryals will be inducted into the Junior Achievement of the Space Coast Business Hall of Fame on March 1, 2014.
Gatto Gallo is president and CEO of Gatto Tires and Auto, Inc., whose father was inducted into the Business Hall of Fame in 2000.
She has been a member of the Health First Board of Trustees since 2007, and is vice chair of the Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center and Health First Palm Bay Hospital Board of Directors. Gatto Gallo also serves as vice chair of the Brevard Health Alliance Board of Directors. She is a past president of the Tire Association of North America and the Florida Independent Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association. She is a 2001 inductee of the Tire Industry Hall of Fame.
Gatto Gallo has served as past president of the Junior League of South Brevard and as past chair of the Brevard Workforce Development Board, the Space Coast Tiger Bay Club and the Brevard Art Museum Board.
Ryals, of National Realty, has been a local businessman in Melbourne since 1972, and has been active throughout the business community the entire time.
He received his BSBA and MBA degrees from the University of Florida and served in Viet Nam as an artillery officer before that. He has been married for 37 years and raised his family here, now consisting of three sons and seven granddaughters.
Ryals currently serves on the boards of the Melbourne Airport Authority, Economic Development Commission, Melbourne Area Chamber of Commerce, Melbourne Downtown Redevelopment Advisory Committee, Holy Trinity School Board, and Trinity Towers Board.
The Junior Achievement of the Space Coast Business Hall of Fame set for March 1, 2014 is a black tie gala that will be held at the Hilton Rialto Place Melbourne. A cocktail reception will kick off the event from 5:30-7 p.m., with the dinner program beginning at 7 p.m.
DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI
The Junior Achievement of the Space Coast Business Hall of Fame recognizes those from the Brevard County community who have made outstanding contributions to free enterprise and to society. Nominations are accepted annually and judged by a panel of laureates and community leaders.
In 2013, Junior Achievement of the Space Coast recognized Robin Fisher of Robin L. Fisher Insurance, Inc. and Brevard County Commissioner, District 1; and Catherine Ford of Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy during the 27th annual celebration.
Since 1986, Junior Achievement of the Space Coast has inducted such notable individuals as Joseph H. Wickham, Jesse J. Parrish, Jr., W. Lansing Gleason, Dr. Kurt Debus, B.W. “Bernie” Simpkins, Dr. Maxwell C. King, Joseph Duda and John Hopkins.
Notable Laureates from the Space Coast, Wayne Huizenga of Blockbuster Entertainment Group and Al Neuharth of USA Today/Florida Today, went on to be inducted into the U.S. Business Hall of Fame.
