**UPDATE**BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Authorities with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office say the man found dead in Port Canaveral after falling off a boat Monday morning appears to be a accident.

The man has been identified as 70-year-old Timothy Pearson and the official cause of death is pending until the autopsy has been completed.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The body of a yet to be identified man was found at Port Canaveral by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office dive team after falling off a boat Monday morning.

According to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Todd Goodyear the victim, who was in his late 60s, was reported to have fallen overboard Monday by employees of Cape View Marina at Port Canaveral.

Authorities are conducting an investigation and more information will be forthcoming.
