FOUND: West Melbourne Police Find William Stanley, 84, in Lake Worth

UPDATE: William Arthur Stanley has been safely located in Lake Worth, Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – West Melbourne police are seeking William Arthur Stanley, 84, who has a diminished mental capacity and is believed to have early stages of dementia.

According to West Melbourne Police Capt. Richard Cordeau, he left his residence at 2129 West New Haven Avenue at Buena Vida Estates assisted living facility around 3:30 p.m. on Monday driving a 2015 white Nissan Sentra, bearing Florida license plate EYUJ93. A similar vehicle is pictured above.

According to family, this is a normal occurrence and he frequents the Publix, Wawa and 7-11 on the West New Haven Avenue corridor.

He is also known to go to the Premiere Theatres at Hibiscus Boulevard and Evans Road in Melbourne but does not normally go without his wife. When Stanley leaves the residence he is usually not gone more than an hour.

Other than memory loss, there is no significant health concern or medications he must take. Prior to moving to Florida in 1996, Stanley and his wife resided in New Hampshire.
