BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Jeremiah Zeleny has been named the 2021 Employee of the Year for Indian River Colony Club, the Viera 55+ golf community for military veterans.
Nominated by Chief Financial Officer, Julie Roberts, Zeleny was recognized on Dec. 7 during the community’s annual membership meeting and presented with a $250 monetary award.
Zeleny heads the Marketing & Graphics department at Indian River Colony Club, with duties that include print and digital ad design and placement, print and digital newsletter design and distribution, marketing analysis, and website administration.
The nominating statement for the two-year employee read, in part, “There is rarely a request that Jeremiah will turn down. He is always happy to help and loves what he does. Presented with a problem, he does his best to immediately research and implement a solution. He has done an excellent job in steering IRCC’s marketing.”
Outgoing Board Director and Marketing Committee Chair, Sally Grissom worked closely with Zeleny to achieve the organization’s marketing goals.
“Talk about someone who wears a lot of hats,” said Grissom.
“JZ leads the Marketing and Graphics Department, where he is an extraordinary graphic designer, web designer and webmaster, marketer, photographer/videographer, and sometimes even IT support staff!
“In addition, he diligently honors our frequent membership requests for everything from editing photos to smartphone issues. All these attributes, plus his great positive attitude led to his selection as the Employee of the Year.”
All 83 full-time employees of the Indian River Colony Club are eligible for the annual award. Department managers each nominate an exceptional member of their team and then cast votes for the most exemplary employee.
The Employee of the Year award is sponsored by the not-for-profit Indian River Colony Club Foundation.
