Brevard Zoo’s Juvenile Green Sea Turtle ‘Bubble Gum’ Transferred to Turtle Hospital in Marathon

Bubble Gum, a juvenile green sea turtle that stayed at the Brevard Zoo, was transferred to The Turtle Hospital in Marathon at the request of FWC to make room for local stranded turtles on Tuesday. (Brevard Zoo image)

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Bubble Gum, a juvenile green sea turtle that stayed at the Brevard Zoo, was transferred to The Turtle Hospital in Marathon at the request of FWC to make room for local stranded turtles on Tuesday.

This juvenile green sea turtle was found stranded in New Smyrna Beach on February 3.

Bubble Gum spent the evening with the Volusia Marine Science Center and was transported to Brevard Zoo the next day to begin its rehabilitation journey.

Bubble Gum had a moderate about of FP tumors and was quite lethargic.
