In Bevard County, Tropical Storm force winds are expected with a peak Wind Forecast of 40-50 mph and gusts to 75 mph. A Flood Warning has been issued for Brevard by the National Weather Service as catastrophic flooding from the heavy rain is expected overnight and through Thursday.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The center of Hurricane Ian is approaching Central Florida counties and a Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service as catastrophic flooding from the heavy rain is expected overnight and through Thursday.
Squalls and heavy rain from Hurricane Ian will continue across east central Florida Overnight. Catastrophic flooding from heavy rain is expected to develop through Thursday. Never drive on flooded roadways. Turn around, don’t drown.
The National Weather Service in Melbourne issued a Hurricane Warning for Brevard County on Wednesday, and Flood and Tornado Warnings are also in effect.
According to the National Weather Service, Brevard will be seeing heavy rainfall over the next 18 hours of 6-8 additional inches in some locations.
In Bevard County, Tropical Storm force winds are expected with a peak Wind Forecast of 40-50 mph and gusts to 75 mph.
