LEE COUNTY, FLORIDA – With Brevard County receiving minimal impact from Hurricane Ian and all of our citizens thankfully being safe, numerous members of our team and I headed to Lee County to assist with search and rescue efforts.
On Sept. 29, approximately 25 members of our agency were requested to help fill a search and rescue mission request by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office as their area is devastated by the effects of Hurricane Ian.
After gathering resources, our team headed for Lee County and arrived in the area where we are working with law enforcement and fire/rescue personnel from across the state of Florida to help save lives and re-stabilize the area.
I could not be more proud of our team for taking on this task and ask that you keep all of our Deputies, fellow first responders, and the citizens of this area in your thoughts and prayers.
