Eastern Florida State Titans Women’s Cross Country Team Concludes Regular Season Schedule at FSU Invite

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s cross country team wrapped up the regular season schedule Friday morning at the FSU Invite at the Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.

The Titans ran against a field filled with four-year schools and finished 28th overall in the 30-team field.

Eastern Florida State College’s Rachel Starr once again had her fastest time of the season, finishing the 5K in 20 minutes, 54.8 seconds.

Teammate Allison Downie finished in 21:21.7, and Julie Hannah came in at 22:18.4. Jennifer Martin dropped almost a minute off of her personal best, finishing in 24:04.9.

LSU won the meet with all five runners finishing in the top 15 overall, with the University of Miami placing second and the University of Tampa third.

Miami’s Daphnee Lavassas won the individual title, finishing in 17:10.9.

The Titans will prepare for the NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Cross Country Championships, which will be back at Apalachee Regional Park on October 28 in Tallahassee.
