BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – State Attorney Phil Archer’s office released a statement regarding the brutal murder of four people in Canaveral Groves.
“We are deeply saddened by the unthinkable tragedy that unfolded Wednesday and offer our condolences to the family and friends of the victims, Glenda Terwilliger, Constance Terwilliger, Kiarra Terwilliger, and Michael Watson.
We are grateful for the actions of the witnesses and response by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office preventing an even greater loss of life and quickly apprehending Domenico Gigante.
There is no justification for these crimes and our office will aggressively prosecute Gigante, seeking justice on behalf of the victims and the maximum penalty permissible under Florida law.
These murders are shocking, and there is an understandable concern surrounding Gigante’s prior criminal prosecutions and the sentences imposed.
While our office continuously seeks to identify and address any potentiality for defendants to re-offend, we will undertake a review of all Gigante’s prior convictions and sanctions, including those under a previous administration, to establish they were reasonable and appropriate.”

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 36-year-old Domenico Gigante of Rockledge for the murder of four people at a residence on Alan Shephard Avenue in Canaveral Groves. Gigante was taken into custody this afternoon after an arrest warrant was signed by Judge David Koenig, charging him with four counts of First Degree Premeditated Murder.
He is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail Complex on a No Bond status.
“The decedents are identified as 63-year-old Glenda Terwilliger, 36-year-old Michael Watson, 35-year-old Constance Terwilliger and 15-year-old Kiara Terwilliger, who were all living at the residence at the time of the incident,” said Brevard County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tod Goodyear.
“The investigation began early this morning, after the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call advising that four people had been shot at the residence. The caller advised that he was contacted by a minor child, who also lived at the residence.”
Goodyear said the caller responded to the residence, where he found the decedents, as well as two minor children, who were not injured.
Deputies responded and confirmed the deaths. The two minor children are currently in the process of being reunited with other family members.
The investigation has determined that Gigante had a previous relationship with Constance and is the father of Kiara.
Evidence collected during the investigation revealed that Gigante left his residence on Wednesday, at approximately 1 a.m., and traveled to the victim’s residence, where he broke into the house and shot the victims. Gigante then left the victim’s residence and returned home.
