BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Former Holy Trinity, Georgia Tech wide receiver James BlackStrain signed with Missouri State out of the NCAA transfer portal.

BlackStrain entered the portal back in March. The Brevard native joins another Space Coast Native in former Cocoa Tigers wideout Jmariyae Robinson.

The Space Coast native did not play in 2021 and 2023 due to injury and played six games during the 2022 season.

BlackStrain was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2021 and had over 40 scholarship offers and was listed on ESPN’s top 300 players in the nation.

James Blackstrain released the following statement on Twitter/X on Monday:

Thank you Georgia Tech! To begin I would like to thank the man above who gave me the ability to play this game. I would like to thank Coach Collins and Dixon for bringing me into Tech.

I appreciate all the coaches and relationships I made along the way.

To my teammates, I appreciate all the moments and memories we had together. With that being said I will be entering my name into the transfer portal with 2 years of eligibility left. Ready to see what is in store next for me and my future!
