OBITUARY: William ‘Willy’ Henry Huppert, Age 77, of Titusville Passed Away June 28

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – William “Willy” Henry Huppert, Age 77, of Titusville Florida, passed away peacefully June 28, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
William was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 15, 1947 to Jeannette and Henry Huppert. He grew up with two siblings, Janet Crawford and Barbara Thomson. William spent his early years in school in New York before continuing on to attend St. Johns College.
While attending college during the Vietnam conflict, William decided it was his time to serve and joined the Army, ultimately ending up in the 9th Infantry Division.
After his service in the military ended, he returned to Richmond Hill, New York and joined the Local 2 Plumbers and Pipefitters union (which he remained a member of for 50 + years). while working in the Plumbers/Pipefitters he traveled extensively for work. This took him everywhere and included working at power plants.
In 1976 he found himself working in New Richmond, Ohio where he met the love of his life, Dorothy Lees, whom he married and at the time of his passing.
In July of 1988 Willy and Dorothy moved to Titusville, Florida where they have been residents up until his passing. During their time together Dorothy and Willy enjoyed a great family life together.
He adored his family and spent as much time as possible with them.
William was a proud member of the American Legion Post 357 in Titusville and a lifetime member of the VFW. He loved golf, reading (especially history-he was a history buff), music and, gardening.
William is the loving father of Gary (late), Chris (late), and Andrew (Sammy). Beloved grandfather of Zachary, Corey, Destiny, Magnolia, Adaline June, and soon to by Wyatt Henry. Great grandfather of Harper, Frankie, and Latavious. He is also survived by his in-laws; Mary Haas, Robert (Yuko) Lees, Charles (Tammy) Vogel and Joseph (Judy) Vogel.
