Josh Hester Elected President of Propeller Club Port Canaveral

Hester will oversee the club’s continued work to promote the maritime industry and economic activity at Port Canaveral

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Josh Hester, a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley, has been elected President of the Propeller Club of Port Canaveral.

Hester is joined by First Vice President Bruce Cameron, Director of Cruise Operations with the Canaveral Port Authority. Both elected terms are for one year.

Always seeking new strategies for advancement, Hester will oversee the club’s continued work to promote the maritime industry and economic activity at Port Canaveral.

The Propeller Club supports Rockledge High School’s HELM Maritime Studies program and other maritime education initiatives. It provides scholarships for students furthering their post-secondary education in maritime industry-related fields and Sea Cadets.

”I joined the propeller club years ago to grow my understanding of Port Canaveral and its crucial role in the economy of the Space Coast and the Southeast region,” said Hester.

“In that time, I have watched business and community leaders work through the challenges of a global pandemic, support the growth of the space industry, and grow both the cargo and cruise industry’s footprint. Additionally, the Propeller Club provides educational, social, and networking opportunities that continue to promote the growth of maritime trade locally and globally.”

He added the relationship the Propeller Club has with the Canaveral Port Authority is a partnership dedicated to the enhancement and well-being of all interests of the maritime community on a national and international basis.

The Propeller Club is a business network dedicated to promoting the maritime industry, commerce, and global trade. They help foster relationship-building and communication among Port Canaveral stakeholders, the maritime industry, local businesses, and the broader community.

The Club hosts monthly luncheons that feature guest speakers open to the public and special events, including the annual ShrimpFeast, July fireworks dinner, and an annual Christmas Party.
