Eastern Florida State Baseball Rallies Past Santa Fe in Series Opener at Bruce Bochy Field

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — The Eastern Florida State College baseball team rallied for four runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat Santa Fe College on Thursday.

The Titans beat the Saints 9-6 in the first game of a three-game series that will resume on Saturday afternoon at Bruce Bochy Field.

Tied 5-5 in the ninth inning, Ryan Cerrone walked with the bases loaded to give the Titans a 6-5 lead and then Isaiah Santiago hit a two-run single that gave the Titans an 8-5 lead. They would add another run and go on to post the win.

Jeff Davis hit his second home run of the season in his first game back after being hit by a pitch in the face while Richard Collazo hit his first home run of the season to give the Titans a lead.

Santa Fe would tie the game 5-5 in the seventh inning on a Ryan Chase home run.

Davis and Bo Tabola each had two hits in the game as all nine hitters had at least one hit in the game.

Kenneth Robinson picked up the win in relief.

Eastern Florida State College will host Santa Fe in a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field. Admission is free and fans can watch the games live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
