BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA — Historic Cocoa Village Main Street has been named the Florida Main Street Program of the Month for March 2025 by Florida Secretary of State Cord Byrd.
This prestigious designation highlights the area’s enduring charm, community spirit, and commitment to growth.
“Historic Cocoa Village Main Street embodies community spirit, and I am proud to witness their continued growth,” said Byrd.
“This special place on the Space Coast is committed to economic development and leveraging its history to shape a strong future.”
Since joining the Florida Main Street Program in 1995, Historic Cocoa Village Main Street has become a cornerstone of community development.
The program has garnered more than $20 million in public and private investments in just the last eight years. It has also helped establish 110 new businesses in the district and created 610 net new jobs, all while logging over 8,300 volunteer hours.

HCVMS is also committed to fostering community through annual events that draw visitors from near and far.
Some popular events include Art and Craft Fairs, Sip and Strolls, Book Festivals, and Sidewalk Sales. During the holiday season, HCVMS teams up with the City of Cocoa to host “Hot Cocoa Holidays,” a beloved tradition featuring a Boat Parade, Bike Parade, Christmas Tree Lighting, and a Movie in the Park.
Proceeds from these events benefit local charities, furthering the sense of community in Cocoa.
