BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 28 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit on Tuesday, May 6. Liftoff took place at 9:17 p.m. ET from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The mission proceeded smoothly, with the first stage booster — flying for the seventh time — completing its journey and landing successfully on the droneship Just Read the Instructions stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
This booster had previously supported missions including Crew-9, RRT-1, Firefly Blue Ghost Mission 1, Fram2, and two earlier Starlink launches.
This latest addition to the Starlink constellation continues SpaceX’s efforts to expand global broadband internet coverage.
