BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – BCSO’s annual “Independence Day Parade” will take place on Friday, July 4, at 10 A.M. in Merritt Island, as they take to the streets to show our patriotism and pride in America.

As always, this year’s parade will stroll along the streets of Merritt Island with the float and parade participants starting at Merritt Island High School, heading South on Courtenay Parkway, to turn East onto Merritt Avenue with the parade ending at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School.

Be sure to get there early to claim your favorite viewing spot, set up your flags and wear your best patriotic gear.

To make things even better, once the parade has ended, the great partners just around the corner at the Veterans Memorial Center will host food trucks and all access admission to the Veteran’s Museum, so bring the kids and get ready for some great red, white, and blue fun.

To register a float, vehicle, walkers, or whatever piece of great American patriotism you plan on showcasing, all you have to do is visit https://bcsocharity.org/ to find all of the information.

As always, first responders and veterans organizations are free, but still need to register so we can place everyone in parade position.

“Saint and I look forward to seeing everyone along the parade route for another incredible parade as we all celebrate the independence of our great nation,” said Sheriff Wayne Ivey.
