Deputies Search for Missing Teen Who Disappeared During Trip to Brevard County

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the disappearance of 17-year-old Giovonni Pelletier, who went missing early Friday morning while en route to visit family in Brevard County.
Pelletier, born April 2, 2007, had been vacationing with relatives in Englewood before departing around 1:30 a.m. on August 1 with his cousins.
The group was traveling north on Interstate 75 when, according to his cousins, Giovonni began acting erratically.
He then unexpectedly exited the vehicle and walked away near State Road 70 in Manatee County.
Deputies say they are working closely with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in an effort to locate the missing teen.
