Eastern Florida State College Women’s Soccer Team Begins Season Ranked 14th in Nation

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team is ranked 14th in the NJCAA Division I preseason poll released on Monday.

The Titans have a good mix of returners and newcomers from a team that went 9-7 last season.

Defending national champion Daytona State College begins the season ranked No. 1 with Arizona Western College and Salt Lake Community College second and third, respectively.

Seminole State College and Navarro College round out the top five.

Eastern Florida State College will open the regular season at Motlow State Community College on August 22. Motlow State begins the season ranked 17th in the poll.

The Titans will play Calhoun Community College on Sunday, August 24, at Motlow State. Eastern Florida State College will host No. 11 Butler Community College on Monday, September 1, in the home opener.

Miami-Dade is receiving votes in the poll.

Season Schedule

The Titans will be home three times in September, beginning with Butler Community College in the home opener on September 1.

The Region 8 Conference schedule will begin September 16, as the women’s soccer team will travel to Polk State College. Then the Titans will host Daytona State College on Saturday, September 20, followed by Miami Dade College.

The Titans will travel to South Carolina for a couple of games at the end of September before heading to New York to play Monroe Community College and Montgomery College.

They will host Polk State College on October 8 in the final home game of the season before wrapping up the Region 8 regular season at Miami Dade on October 14 and then Daytona State College on October 18.

The Region 8 Tournament will begin Thursday, October 30, with the final slated for Saturday, November 1, at Miami Dade College.
