The City of Melbourne has issued a precautionary boil water notice that applies to 4455 and 4505 West New Haven Avenue.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The City of Melbourne has issued a precautionary boil water notice that applies to 4455 and 4505 West New Haven Avenue.

Water will be shut off to these property to perform a repair on a control valve in the area. Therefore, as a precaution once water service is restored, the city has advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes, be boiled.

A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This precautionary boil water notice is expected to remain in effect until the required bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
