Free Car Seat Checkup Event at West Melbourne Police Department Set Oct. 25

BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Families in Brevard County will have an opportunity to ensure their child’s car seats are installed safely during an upcoming Car Seat Checkup Event hosted by Safe Kids Treasure Coast in partnership with State Farm.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West Melbourne Police Department, located at 2290 Minton Road in West Melbourne, Florida.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will be on-site to inspect car seats, guide proper installation, and answer parents’ and caregivers’ questions.

The goal of the event is to promote child safety and reduce the risk of injury in a crash by ensuring car seats are used correctly.

No appointment is required to attend, allowing families to stop by at their convenience during the event hours. The event also honors 25 years of partnership in child safety between Safe Kids and State Farm, highlighting a long-standing commitment to protecting children on the road.
