Launch Credit Union Offering Government Shutdown Loan To Affected Workers

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA – Launch Credit Union is here to assist federal employees with a 0% loan to help them while they are missing paychecks during the government shutdown.
“We realize many people in our area are challenged with missing paychecks due to the continued government shutdown. As a credit union and a strong community leader, we are here to help our members during this difficult time,” says Joe Mirachi, Launch CU President and CEO.
The loan is offered through November 30, 2025.
To qualify, you must be an existing federal or contract employee affected by the government shutdown resulting in missed pay.
Qualified members may borrow up to $5,000 at 0% APR for up to 12 months, or 5.99% APR for up to 24 months. A loan specialist at any Launch CU branch can assist with the loan application process, or you can apply online at launchcu.com.
If you are not currently a member of Launch Credit Union and wish to apply for the loan, you may become a member by opening a savings account with a minimum deposit of $5.
Proof of a government job is required to apply for the special loan, and you will need to provide a copy of a recent pay stub. Speak to a loan specialist for additional details.
The deadline to apply for the special loan is November 30, 2025.
