Satellite Beach Police Department Promotes Four Officers, Strengthening Leadership Team

BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA — The Satellite Beach Police Department is celebrating a new era of leadership with the promotion of four of its own: Lieutenant Steve Owens, Lieutenant Eric Anderson, Sergeant Sean McCrann, and Sergeant Aimee Ybarra.

Each of these officers has demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and dedication to serving the residents of Satellite Beach, department officials said.

Their promotions mark a significant milestone as the department continues to focus on growth, innovation, and deepening community connections.

“These promotions reflect not only the hard work and integrity of these officers, but also the bright future of our department,” a Satellite Beach Police spokesperson said. “We’re proud to have leaders who truly embody the spirit of public service and community partnership.”

Lieutenants Owens and Anderson will now take on expanded leadership roles, overseeing key operational areas within the department, while Sergeants McCrann and Ybarra will continue to strengthen the department’s supervisory ranks, mentoring younger officers and leading by example.

The Satellite Beach Police Department emphasized that the promotions align with its ongoing commitment to professional excellence and community engagement.
