BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Bryan R. Roub, age 84, of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 2nd, 2025. Born on May 1, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, Bryan lived a life defined by integrity, generosity, family devotion, and quiet but profound service to others.

Bryan grew up in Strongsville, Ohio, the son of Pearl and Bernard Roub, and met the love of his life, Judy, when the two were toddlers. Bryan and Judy reconnected as young adults and began a lifetime partnership.

They celebrated their 60th anniversary in June, surrounded by family and friends. Together they raised three sons — Paul, Bradley, and Michael — and eventually welcomed 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Bryan first attended Ohio Wesleyan University before ultimately graduating from The Ohio State University; he later received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

He began his career as a financial professional on the audit staff of Ernst & Ernst, rose through leadership roles at Midland-Ross Corporation, and ultimately spent 22 years at Harris Corporation, retiring in 2006 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

In 2015, Bryan was inducted into the Financial Executives International (FEI) Hall of Fame, one of the highest honors in his profession. He served FEI as President of both the Northeast Ohio and Central Florida chapters and as National Chairman.

Following retirement, he continued to serve his community on the boards of both Fairchild Semiconductor International and Health First.

Yet despite his professional accomplishments, Bryan’s truest impact was felt in the community he loved. After moving to Brevard County more than 40 years ago, Bryan and Judy became pillars of local philanthropy.

They supported The Haven for Children, AMIkids, the Brevard Zoo, Health First Foundation, the Women’s Center, and a scholarship at The Ohio State University, and countless other endeavors, large and small. They gave not only their resources but also their time, their home, and their hearts.

Bryan loved watching sports with his children and grandchildren, dinners out with friends and family, and quiet time with “Jude.”

Bryan is survived by his devoted wife, Judy; his sons Paul (Amy) Roub, Bradley (Debbie) Roub, and Michael (Lauren) Roub; his 14 beloved grandchildren Kelsey, Lauren, Brennan, Bryan, Emily, Maggie, Miranda, Aiden, Ava, Jacob, Mia, Hudson, Stella, and Clara; his great-grandson Remy; his sisters Kay (Steven) Schaefer and Bonnie (John) Paine; beloved nieces and nephews; and countless friends whose lives were brightened by his warmth.

Those who knew Bryan remember him as a man of deep character: humble, steady, principled, and filled with a quiet joy that made others feel valued and welcomed.

Bryan’s life was a testament to the belief that giving enriches the giver, that family is the foundation of everything, and that communities thrive when neighbors care for one another.

His legacy lives on in the countless people he helped, the family he loved, and the example of service he set for generations to come.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to AMIkids and The Haven For Children.

A memorial service is being planned, and details will be available at BryanRoub.com once available.
