BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Two vehicle crashes early Tuesday morning led to roadblocks and traffic disruptions in Brevard County, affecting major roadways in the Melbourne area.
The first incident was reported at approximately 2:37 a.m. on December 23, on southbound Interstate 95 near mile marker 188 in Melbourne.
Officials indicated the crash involved injuries and required a roadblock.
Emergency crews responded quickly, as traffic control measures were put in place.
Drivers traveling southbound on I-95 are advised to use caution as responders worked at the scene.
A second crash was reported around 4:10 a.m. near the intersection of Viera Boulevard and Stadium Parkway in Melbourne.
That crash also resulted in a roadblock, prompting additional warnings for motorists in the area.
No injuries were reported but traffic was impacted as crews manage the roadway and ensured safety.
Authorities urge drivers to remain alert, slow down when approaching emergency scenes, and consider alternate routes while roadblocks were in effect.
