Citrus Conference Play Continues For Eastern Florida State College Basketball Teams

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team will open the Citrus Conference season on Saturday at Daytona State College.
The Titan Men head into the conference season 11-3 on the season and are on a five-game winning streak.
Six Titans come into the conference season averaging at least 8.5 points per game, led by Sean Register Jr., who is averaging 24.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Joviel Acevedo-Arroyo is averaging 12 points, while Tyson Wilson and Nick Oliver are each averaging nine points. Djiby Ly and Eby Ogoh are each averaging 8.5 points.
Daytona State College comes into the conference season ranked ninth in the NJCAA Division I national poll and is 11-3 overall and has won four in a row.
Four players are averaging at least 11 points per game for the Falcons, led by Noah Mendy, who leads the team, averaging 16.5 points per game. Alex Harper, Tyrese Lacey, and Trey Wilson are each averaging 11 points per game.
Both teams are coming off big wins against prep teams, each scoring at least 157 points.

The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team will hit the road on Saturday for a Citrus Conference game at Daytona State College.
The Titans are looking for their first win in the conference as they face the No. 24-ranked Falcons, who are 1-0 and are coming off a loss to Tallahassee Community College on Dec. 13.
Eastern Florida State College went 1-2 at the Lady Jets Holiday Classic as Bruna DaSilva averaged 23 points and five rebounds in Georgia while Ofir Parpara averaged 15 points and six rebounds in the tournament.
Daytona State College is 9-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference as five players are averaging 8.5 points or better this season. Lamiyah Hogans is averaging 11.4 points per game, while Jaeden Williams is averaging 10.8 points and is coming off a 22-point game against Tallahassee.
