BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has released a new video giving the public a behind-the-scenes look at its elite SWAT Team during a high-intensity ride along known as “Ride 10-94.”
The video offers viewers a rare glimpse into the preparation, coordination and training that goes into the specialized operations handled by the agency’s tactical unit. Deputies can be seen gearing up, briefing team members and demonstrating the tactics used when responding to high-risk situations.
“Ride 10-94” places viewers alongside the SWAT team as they move through simulated and real-world operational scenarios. The footage highlights the equipment, armored vehicles and specialized training the unit uses when responding to incidents such as barricaded suspects, hostage situations and other dangerous calls.
According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, the purpose of releasing the video is to provide the community with a better understanding of the work SWAT deputies perform and the level of preparation required to safely handle critical incidents.
SWAT teams are made up of specially trained deputies who undergo extensive tactical training beyond standard law enforcement instruction. Members of the team must maintain a high level of readiness and regularly participate in training exercises to ensure they are prepared for complex operations.
