The Knights were 32nd in both polls before they traveled to Kentucky and grabbed their first win against a top-10 program, defeating No. 8 Louisville, 38-35. The Knight’s 38 points vs. the Cardinals marked the most points scored against a ranked team in UCF football history.

UCF’s last time in the top-25 occurred in the final 2010 rankings when it was 20th in the Coaches Poll and 21st in the AP Poll. That also marked the highest rankings in both polls in Knights history.

UCF received 345 points in the AP Top 25, marking the most in school history in either poll. The No. 21 ranking ties for the highest in that poll as well. Meanwhile, the 151 points in the Coaches Poll are the second most in that top 25 behind only 328 in 2010.

Overall, UCF has at least been receiving votes in one or both of the polls every week dating back to the final top 25 rankings in 2012 – a string of 10 straight polls. The Knights’ record for most consecutive polls receiving votes was when it accomplished the feat in 11 straight rankings in 2010-11.

Both the 2010 and 2013 seasons have witnessed UCF receive votes a record nine times during the year.

In the BCS which has yet to be released, UCF’s lone appearance came in the final 2010 standings when it placed 25th.
