BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Yesterday, members of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and their families joined approximately 100 volunteers at the County Line Saloon to help wrap Christmas presents for “Kids Without Christmas” a local organization that helps hundreds of Brevard County families during this time of the year.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey and his wife Susan had the pleasure of reading "Twas A Night Before Christmas" at the Merritt Island Christmas Tree event in Merritt Island. Ivey would like to thank Lou Columbo and the I Love My Island staff and volunteers for inviting us to speak, and all the citizens who joined us. (Brevard County Sheriff's Office image)

The annual event gives families who are struggling a chance to have an incredible Christmas Morning with their kids through generous donations to the “Kids Without Christmas” Organization.

I would like to personally thank the “Kids Without Christmas” team for everything they do each year to make Christmas possible for so many families in our community.

I would also like to thank all of the KWC volunteers who participate in this incredible program and the members of our agency for helping with today’s event and showing their support for our community.

And a special thank you to Community Relations Coordinator Lindsey Deaton who not only coordinated today’s event for our agency but also coordinated our team’s participation in all of this year’s Holiday events.
