Satellite Police Chief appointed to 2-year term

Governor Rick Scott appointed on Friday Satellite Police Chief Jeff Pearson to the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission for a 2-year term.
Governor Rick Scott appointed on Friday Satellite Police Chief Jeff Pearson to the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission for a 2-year term.

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – Governor Rick Scott appointed on Friday Satellite Police Chief Jeff Pearson to the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission for a 2-year term.

Pearson, 47, of Satellite Beach, has been appointed to a vacant seat for a term beginning August 1, 2016, and ending August 1, 2018.

Scott also reappointed one, and appointed one to the commission, including:

• David Shoar, 54, of Saint Augustine, is a sheriff with the Saint Johns County Sheriff’s Office. He was reappointed for a term beginning August 1, 2016, and ending August 1, 2020.

• Robert Hardwick, 45, of Saint Augustine Beach, is the chief of police of the Saint Augustine Beach Police Department. He succeeds Steven Steinberg and was appointed for a term beginning August 1, 2016, and ending August 1, 2020.
