Criminal Defense Attorney Brynn Loughran Brito Works Aggressively On Behalf of Her Clients

As a successful criminal defense and trial attorney, Brynn Loughran Brito believes, “One mistake does not define you,” and this drives Brito to aggressively work on behalf of her clients.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – As a successful criminal defense and trial attorney, Brynn Loughran Brito believes, “One mistake does not define you,” and this drives Brito to aggressively work on behalf of her clients.

“My job is to challenge the State to prove their case – an arrest is just an accusation.”

Originally from South Florida, she studied at both Stetson and Florida Atlantic Universities for her undergraduate degree, and earned her law degree from the University of Florida.

Brito, a member of the Florida Bar since 2000, began her career as a prosecutor in Broward County in the juvenile division. She then became a Felony Prosecutor, Felony Division Chief, and finally worked as a Special Division Prosecutor in Sex Crimes and Child Abuse before moving to Brevard County with her family in 2004.

In 2007, Brito made the transition to criminal defense work and opened her own firm 2010 specializing in criminal defense cases, including DUI, drug possession and trafficking, gun crimes, juvenile crimes, death penalty, violent felonies, sex crimes, domestic battery, and driving cases. She also works on civil forfeitures, police brutality cases and personal injury cases.

As the mother of two teenage daughters, Brito has learned to balance work with being a busy mom.

“It takes a lot of understanding from my children and help from my family. ” Brito said.

“Spending time with my daughters is important to me because my job is demanding. The girls understand that my job is to help people.”

During summer vacation both girls “intern” with her firm going to court and assisting in daily work activities.

“This is an opportunity for them to learn how hard I work for our family and my clients, as well as, spend time with me in a role that isn’t just ‘Mom.’”

Brito enjoys beach living to keep her stress level down.

“I love living on the beach, the ocean is really beautiful and peaceful.”

In her spare time Brito enjoys distance running, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

“This is such a wonderful community and I am lucky to be able to work with so many families to help them through some of their toughest life challenges,” said Brito.
