ABOVE VIDEO: Back by popular demand, your Space Coast Symphony Orchestra will present “The Planets in HD,” a celebration of space exploration.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, in cooperation with NASA, presents The Planets: An HD Odyssey at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Scott Center for the Performing Arts at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, located at 5625 Holy Trinity Drive in north Melbourne. Experience a profound new approach to Gustav Holst’s cosmic masterpiece, The Planets, live with HD images from NASA projected on the big screen.

The concert opens with the Southeastern U.S. premiere of an atmospheric work by Bruce Babcock, Event Horizon. Following, the SCSO features guitarist D.J. Sparr in a performance of Glacier (Concerto for Electric Guitar and Orchestra), by award-winning composer, Kenneth Fuchs and based on his aural conception of stone, water, vapor, and ice found in Montana’s Glacier National Park.

Then experience a powerful performance of composer Gustav Holst’s monumental The Planets, paired with a high-definition film from NASA’s latest exploration of the solar system, including stunning images from the Mars Rovers and past probe missions Magellan, Voyager and Galileo.
