Victor Rocha Furtado received first-team honors for the third consecutive year

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Sunshine State Conference released the 2018-19 All-SSC Men’s and Women’s Swimming Team and three members of the Florida Tech swimming team received conference honors.

Victor Rocha Furtado received first-team honors for the third consecutive year. The senior has been a dominant threat in the pool every year.

On March 13, the Brazilian native will be competing in the NCAA Swimming Championships. Rocha Furtado qualified for the 50 free, 100 free and the 100 fly.

Savannah Brennan received second-team honors for the first time in her swimming career at Florida Tech. The Sophomore qualified for the NCAA Swimming Championships in the 400 IM and will be participating in the 500 free and 200 breaststroke.

Brennan set a new school record in the SSC Swimming Championships in the 400 IM (4:22.18).

The Italian native, Emanuele Rossi, received honorable mentions All-SSC Men’s Swimming Team. Rossi qualified for the NCAA Swimming Championships in the 100 back. The senior will also be participating in the 50 free and 200 back.

The NCAA Swimming Championships will begin Wednesday, March 13 and end Saturday, March 16. Live coverage links will be provided at FloridaTechSports.com
