BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Topics of interest and motivating speakers will be the order of the day at the Fifth annual Space Coast Women’s Business Expo, coming to the Melbourne Hilton Rialto from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today.

The keynote speaker will be WKMG-TV 6 award-winning anchor-reporter Lauren Rowe.

The event, “Developing the Heart of Your Business,” is expected to be a motivational day filled with presentations, vendor demonstrations and information, giveaways, a silent auction, promotions and networking opportunities. It is open to all women and men.

Beth Gitlin, director of the Women’s Business Center at Florida Institute of Technology, is the event organizer. “Our goal is to provide numerous opportunities to strengthen business practices and enhance the economic climate of the Space Coast” she said.

Rowe was voted Best News Anchor by the Orlando Business Journal, nominated for an Emmy Award and honored for outstanding achievement for her work in the special documentary, “Problem Solvers Prime Time.” She also produces and hosts the TV-6 Sunday news show, “Flashpoint.”

Also speaking is Mark Anthony, author of the bestselling book, Never Letting Go, who will present “Intuition Is the Key to Your Success.” He will offer a four-step process to understand and enhance intuition. Anthony will also have copies of his book for sale and will hold a book signing after his presentation.

Additionally, founder of WomensProsperityNetwork.com Nancy Matthews will present “The Visionary with Guts.” She combines “25-plus years of business savvy and ingenuity with an intuitive understanding of people to deliver engaging and entertaining content that provides practical solutions to today’s life and business challenges,” said Gitlin.

Event emcee will be Mindy Levy, the WLRQ Lite Rock 99.3 FM “Mike and Mindy in the Morning” co-host, program director and midday radio personality. She has been a fixture of east coast Florida radio for almost 17 years.

The event’s main sponsors are the Women’s Business Center (WBC) at Florida Tech and the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). Sponsorship opportunities are still available, ranging from a $50 nonprofit sponsorship to a $5,000 platinum sponsorship.

The cost is $55 per person. Lunch is included.
