Seven Brevard County Firefighters Earn Promotions

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Seven members of Brevard County Fire Rescue are walking a little taller today after receiving  promotions on Tuesday.

Lt. Jeff Taylor of Brevard County Fire Rescue said that the promotion of  six firefighters to the rank of lieutenant and one lieutenant to the rank of District Chief have brought an extensive and competitive promotion process to am close.

Brevard County Fire Chief Larry Collins presented promotional badges and helmets to the firefighters in a formal Badge Pinning Ceremony held at the department’s headquarters in Rockledge on Tuesday.  

Promoted to lieutenant are:

• Jeffrey Butler

• Timothy Hall

•  James Parker

• Michael Destafano

• Christopher Monroe

• Sean Ryan

Also earning a promotion to district chief is Richard Connor.

“The promotion process is a rigorous one, ” Chief Collins said. “I congratulate each of these individuals for this career achievement and commend them for their dedication to the citizens that they serve and to this department.”
