At 2 p.m. Thursday, April 4, the comedy-mystery writer will discuss her lighthearted novels at One Senior Place at 8085 Spyglass Hill Road in Viera.

She has more than 100 books about grief, many for children.  Her current life, however, focuses on writing comedy mysteries for seasoned women called “The BOOB Girls: The Burned Out Old Broads at Table 12.

The BOOB Girls who dine together at Meadow Lakes Retirement Community’s table 12 find adventure, romance, mystery and prove there is life after grief.

Johnson’s presentation involves jokes from the books, a lively dissertation on the beauty of older, seasoned women and a time for signing and personalizing the books available for sale.

An international public speaker and author on bereavement and grief, Johnson helped found Centering Corporation, North America’s oldest and largest grief resource center, and Ted E. Bear Hollow, the Omaha-Council Bluffs areas center for grieving children.

The BOOB Girls success meant a change in direction for the author of over 100 books on grief.

“Now it’s all fun,” Johnson said. “I love the BOOB Girls. They’re my best friends and I have had so many women ask if there’s room for one more at Table 12.”
