Jackie Barker Elected To AAF Executive Committee

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Jackie Barker, owner and president of SKY Advertising located in Satellite Beach, Fla., has been elected to serve as the Eastern Region Chair on the Executive Committee of the 2013-2014 national American Advertising Federation (AAF) Board of Directors.

Jackie Barker, owner and president of SKY Advertising located in Satellite Beach, Fla., has been elected to serve as the Eastern Region Chair on the Executive Committee of the 2013-2014 national American Advertising Federation (AAF) Board of Directors.

The American Advertising Federation is the nation’s oldest national advertising trade association and the only association representing all facets of the advertising industry. The AAF announced their new board leadership at their annual conference in Phoenix, AZ.

Among Barker’s fellow Members of the Executive Committee are industry leaders from Coca-Cola, ABC, CNN, AOL, Leo Burnett Advertising, BBDO Worldwide, and Ogilvy and Mather Advertising.

As Eastern Region Chair, Barker will represent the concerns of all of the clubs and federations in the region and will be the voice of advertising professionals from Maine to Puerto Rico, and also the U. S. Virgin Islands.

An advertising professional for more than 28 years, Barker founded SKY Advertising in January 2003.

The full-service agency manages a wide variety of clients, including hotels, attractions, restaurants, retail and colleges. She has been an active member of the community for over 21 years, serving on the boards and committees for Brevard Zoo, United Way, The Women’s Center, Cocoa Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce, 4th District American Advertising Federation and American Advertising Federation of the Space Coast.
